IL SB3545

Amends the Criminal Identification Act to allow pretrial services agencies, with Illinois State Police approval, to furnish fingerprints, charges, and descriptions to the State Police in the same manner as arresting agencies.

Amends the Pretrial Services Act to require pretrial services agencies to collaborate with police, circuit court clerks, sheriffs, and State's Attorneys to help maintain complete and accurate criminal records.

Introduced on February 5, 2026 by Senator Michael W. Halpin in the 104th General Assembly.

Modifies existing criminal record reporting requirements by adding a new subsection (a-5) specifically addressing pretrial services information sharing.
