Beginning December 1, 2026, compensation for county coroners, treasurers, clerks, recorders, auditors, and circuit court clerks shall equal 80% of the State's Attorney salary in their respective county.

Supervisors of assessments who begin terms on or after December 1, 2026 shall receive 80% of the county State's Attorney salary starting December 1, 2029.

The State must pay 66 2/3% of each covered officer's annual salary beginning December 1, 2026, increased from the previous 50% reimbursement rate.

Beginning with fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, county clerks, recorders, auditors, coroners, treasurers, and chief clerks of county election commissions shall receive an annual stipend of $12,800, adjusted annually.

The bill amends the Property Tax Code, Counties Code, and Clerks of Courts Act to implement these salary standardization provisions for local government officers in counties with fewer than 2,000,000 inhabitants.
