IL SB3644

Amends the Rooftop Safety for First Responders Act to require municipalities to survey new commercial buildings (previously all buildings) with skylights and openings on low-sloped roofs by January 1, 2027, and every 2 years thereafter

Requires municipalities to develop within one year a methodology to collect data on skylights and roof openings in existing buildings through building permit reviews and required property inspections

Survey results must be compiled into a building inventory and shared with local police and fire departments

In counties with population over 1,000,000, survey results must also be stored in computer-aided dispatch systems
