Requires all Illinois school districts to create, maintain, and implement policies for academic, social-emotional, and behavioral interventions within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework

Parents/guardians of children identified for additional support must receive written notice of the research-based interventions being used and their purpose

Parents/guardians must be provided all data collected about their child during the MTSS process, though participation in the collaborative team approach is at the district's discretion

Defines MTSS as a tiered process using differentiated instruction, evidence-based curriculum, continuous progress monitoring, and data-driven decisions aligned with state standards

Repeals existing Section 14-8.02h in the Children with Disabilities Article concerning response to intervention processes, consolidating MTSS requirements under the Courses of Study Article
