IL SB3809

Amends the Illinois Election Code to specify acceptable forms of identification for voter registration, including valid and unexpired driver's licenses, social security cards, public aid identification cards, utility bills, residential leases or contracts, civic/union/professional association membership cards, U.S. passports, or other government-issued documents containing the applicant's residential address

Removes employee or student identification cards and credit cards from the list of acceptable identification documents for voter registration

Adds new language to the voter registration affidavit requiring applicants to affirm they regard the registration location as their home and have no intention of returning to a former residence following the next election

Applies these residency affirmation requirements to multiple voter registration sections of the Election Code, including Sections 4-8, 4-10, 5-7, 5-9, 6-29, 6-35, and 6-37
