Persons who register to vote on election day would only be permitted to cast a provisional ballot, rather than a regular ballot.

Election authorities would be required to mail a voter registration application to the provisional voter's address after they cast the ballot.

Provisional ballots cast by same-day registrants would only be counted if the voter completes and returns the mailed voter registration application within 14 days after election day.

The bill also amends the First Responders Suicide Prevention Act to update exceptions to peer support counseling confidentiality, including provisions for imminent harm, mandated reporting of maltreatment, and waiver of privilege.
