Grants the Illinois State Comptroller authority to appoint investigators to enforce the Crematory Regulation Act, including powers to conduct investigations, searches, seizures, and arrests statewide.

Designates Comptroller crematory investigators as peace officers with the same powers as city police officers and sheriffs when enforcing crematory regulations.

Requires investigators to complete basic police training approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board, or receive a waiver based on prior law enforcement experience.

Mandates that each investigator receive a distinct badge clearly stating Comptroller authorization and containing a unique identifying number.

Amends both the State Comptroller Act and the Crematory Regulation Act to establish this new enforcement framework, introduced February 6, 2026 by Senator Doris Turner.
