Illinois State Police required to establish and maintain a publicly accessible Statewide Persistent Domestic Violence Offender Database on their website

Individuals must register as persistent domestic violence offenders if convicted of a second domestic violence offense or if a second order of protection is granted against them

Database will include offender's name, date of birth, conviction date, county of conviction, and photograph if available; addresses and identification numbers excluded from public view

Registration requires a $150 fee, with $50 retained by the court clerk and $100 deposited into the Illinois Domestic Violence Fund

Registry removal occurs after 5-20 years depending on number of prior offenses, ranging from 5 years for 1 prior to 20 years for 4 or more priors; applies to convictions or orders on or after January 1, 2027
