Commercial solar energy facilities, commercial wind energy facilities, and energy storage facilities would require approval from the county board before construction in any Illinois county.

Facilities located within a township would additionally require approval from the township board of trustees.

Facilities proposed within 1.5 miles of a municipality would require approval from the municipal corporate authorities.

Amends the Counties Code, Township Code, and Illinois Municipal Code to establish these multi-level local government approval requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
