Appropriates $50,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for grants to community learning centers supporting afterschool programs and community schools

Eligible grant recipients include public school districts, charter schools, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, tribal organizations, and regional education offices

Individual grant awards are capped at $225,000 per site, with successful applicants eligible to reapply for up to 4 additional years of funding

Grantees must serve high-poverty schools where at least 40% of children are from low-income families

Programs must provide academic enrichment, tutoring, youth development activities, health education, counseling, arts, career/technical education, and family engagement opportunities, with the goal of improving student achievement, attendance, graduation rates, and social-emotional skills
