Recognizes the Illinois Judges Association for its work educating students, parents, and educators about online safety, including preventing cyberbullying, reporting illicit activity, and understanding legal consequences of online behavior

Acknowledges both benefits of the internet (economic development, communication, education) and harms affecting youth (cyberbullying, misinformation, mental health issues, addiction, social isolation)

Supports expanding online safety education to all students, parents, and schools throughout Illinois

Encourages collaboration between elementary and secondary schools, the Illinois Judges Association, and community organizations to provide comprehensive online safety education

Directs that copies of the resolution be sent to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Illinois State Police, and the Illinois Judges Association
