Documents 28 vehicular crashes at the Casey and Almond Roads intersection over the past 10 years, with injuries in at least 10 crashes; 83 crashes at Almond Road and IL Route 120, with injuries in at least 11 crashes

Highlights dangers to residents, children, motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, equestrians using the regional trail system, and threatened/endangered wildlife in adjacent Illinois Nature Preserves

Proposed solutions include reclassifying Casey Road to allow reduced speed limits, implementing better traffic control at Casey and Almond Roads intersection, and permanently closing Almond Road at the Route 120 intersection

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to IDOT, Lake County Division of Transportation, Lake County Board members, Libertyville and Warren Townships and their road districts, and state legislators representing Lake County
