Mourns the passing of Brian Joseph Meginnes of Peoria, who died on June 6, 2025 at age 72

Recognizes his distinguished legal career, including co-founding the law firm Elias, Meginnes & Seghetti in 1996 and specializing in corporate and environmental law

Honors his 16 years of service on the Dunlap Community Unit School District #323 Board of Education, including 8 years as president, and his work with organizations including the American Red Cross, W.D. Boyce Council, and Peoria Promise (which he helped create in 2007)

Notes his lifelong commitment to scouting, from earning Eagle Scout as a youth to receiving the Silver Beaver Award and National Eagle Scout Association Outstanding Eagle Scout Award
