Attended St. Ignatius Grade School and St. Scholastica High School, earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Champaign

Practiced law in Chicago for many years and most recently served as library director of the Des Plaines Public Library

Survived by five siblings, 11 nieces and nephews, and three grand-nieces and grand-nephews

Illinois Senate extends condolences to her family and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the family
