Senate resolution mourning the death of Mary Carol Vanecko, who passed away on February 28, 2025 at age 86

Vanecko was a Chicago native who taught kindergarten at Wilmette Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary's College

She served as the longest standing member of the Misericordia Women's Board and was a lifelong parishioner at Queen of All Saints

Survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, and siblings including former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and Cook County Commissioner John P. Daley

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to the Vanecko family as an expression of sympathy from the Illinois Senate
