Born October 28, 1934 in Chicago, raised in River Forest, graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 1952 and earned a sociology degree from Indiana University in 1956

Extensive community service including past president of OP-RF Day Nursery, board member of Community Chest, Ravinia, and Oak Park Trust & Savings Bank, and work with Infant Welfare Society Circle 31

Received the inaugural Order of Merit Award from Indiana University in 2010 for her leadership in women's philanthropy, including founding roles on the Women's Philanthropy Leadership Council and Women's Colloquium Steering Committee

Survived by her husband of 68 years, Gene, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren
