Illinois Senate memorial resolution honoring Wenonah M. Bish of Sherman, who passed away on November 1, 2025 at age 113, making her the oldest resident in the State of Illinois at the time of her death

Born October 2, 1912 in Springfield to Louis B. and Elizabeth R. Kelly Taborn, she was educated in Springfield Public Schools and married Edgar A. Bish in 1943

Worked as an assembly line worker at Sangamo Electric Company for many years and was a longtime member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church

Survived by her daughter Delores Ann Hughes, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren

Resolution extends condolences from the 104th General Assembly and directs that a copy be presented to her family
