In Illinois between 2007-2024, homes without sprinklers experienced 1,131 fatalities and 4,171 injuries, while homes with sprinklers had zero fatalities and only 7 injuries

Modern homes burn faster due to lightweight construction, open floor plans, synthetic furnishings, and lithium-ion batteries, becoming deadly in two minutes or less

Directs copies of the resolution be presented to leaders of the Illinois Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association
