IN HB1085

Amends IC 31-35 to add a new ground for terminating parent-child relationships involving delinquent children or children in need of services.

Allows petitions to include an allegation that a child has been adjudicated a child in need of services on two separate occasions, in addition to existing grounds based on conditions not being remedied or continuation posing a threat to the child's well-being.

Applies to both general termination petitions under IC 31-35-2-4 and termination petitions in cases involving serious criminal offenses under IC 31-35-3-5.

Effective July 1, 2010.
