• Establishes the River Ridge Commerce Corridor on State Road 62 between Interstate Highway 265 and State Road 3, with the Indiana Department of Transportation responsible for placing designating signs at corridor endpoints and within the corridor as appropriate.

• Assigns the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to coordinate state and local economic development initiatives within the corridor.

• Requires the Indiana Department of Transportation to annually provide local officials with traffic studies and information relevant to economic development and local highway maintenance.

• Tasks the Office of Community and Rural Development, with assistance from the corporation and department, to help local governments develop zoning and planning standards balancing public safety, economic development, environment, quality of life, and interstate travel needs.

• Designates State Road 62 from Interstate Highway 265 to State Road 3 as an extra heavy duty highway, effective July 1, 2010.
