House Bill 1303 Summary

• Allows county hospitals to own or operate health facilities located inside or outside their county on terms prescribed by the hospital board.

• Permits county hospital governing boards to contract with qualified persons or entities to operate health facilities on their behalf, regardless of location within or outside the county.

• Amends Indiana Code 16-22-3 to expand the authority of county hospitals regarding facility ownership and management operations.

• Effective date of July 1, 2010.
