• Establishes vote centers as a permanent option for all Indiana counties, allowing voters to cast ballots at any vote center in their county regardless of precinct residence.

• Requires county election boards to adopt an order and plan for vote center administration, hold public hearings, accept public comment, and file documentation with the election division (removes requirement for Secretary of State approval).

• Automatically redesignates counties previously designated as vote center pilot counties under prior law as permanent vote center counties effective July 1, 2010.

• Eliminates the December 31, 2010 expiration date of the vote center program and removes Secretary of State authority to revoke vote center designations.
