IN HB1310

Prohibits sex offenders classified as sexually violent predators or offenders against children from being on primary or secondary school property as a mandatory condition of probation

Allows an exception for sex offenders who are students themselves, permitting them to attend their own school but prohibiting them from any other school property

Requires sex offenders who are parents or guardians of school-age children to provide written notification of their status to the school and school corporation (if public)

Permits parent/guardian sex offenders to be on their child's school property only when attending meetings with teachers or administrators and while escorted by a school or district employee

Effective date of July 1, 2010
