Requires merchants providing services related to real property (maintenance, repair, sale) or personal property (maintenance, repair, lease, sale) to send written notice at least 30 days before a contract with an automatic renewal clause renews

Written notice must include the contract renewal date, a statement that the recipient must notify the merchant if they wish to terminate, and information about available promotions, discounts, additional fees, or fee increases

Defines "automatic renewal clause" as a contract provision that automatically renews unless the recipient provides termination notice

Does not apply to leases or rentals of real property

Effective date of July 1, 2010
