HB 1330 - Military Personnel Tuition Rates

• Allows military personnel on active duty who are nonresidents of Indiana but currently living in Indiana to pay resident tuition rates at state educational institutions.

• Extends resident tuition eligibility to active duty military stationed in surrounding states (Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, or Ohio) while living in Indiana.

• Resident tuition rate applies for courses taken while the service member maintains active duty status and Indiana or surrounding state station assignment.

• Amends IC 21-14-9 and defines "surrounding state" as Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, or Ohio.

• Effective July 1, 2010.
