Columbia City High School livestock judging team (James Schinbeckler, Cody Lamle, Kayle Rothgeb, and Ellen Bernhard) won first place overall at the National Livestock Judging Contest held in Raleigh, North Carolina, sweeping categories in sheep, swine, cattle, reasons, and overall competition.

Team members achieved individual placements including Cody Lamle first in cattle, James Schinbeckler first in reasons, and various second through tenth place finishes across sheep, swine, goats, and overall categories.

Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the team on its national championship and recognizes the individual performances of all four team members.

Coaches Jesse Kimmel and Greg Rupert and community/parent support are credited for the team's success.

Principal Clerk of the House will transmit a copy of the resolution to team members and coach Jesse Kimmel.
