• Requires petitions to establish paternity for children in adoption proceedings to be filed in the court with jurisdiction over the adoption case.

• Allows persons contesting an adoption to file either a motion to contest the adoption or a petition to establish paternity under IC 31-14.

• Maintains the 30-day filing deadline for contesting an adoption after service of notice.

• Preserves the separate process for persons seeking to withdraw consent to an adoption through a motion to withdraw consent.
