Senate Bill 108 Summary

• Increases the number of full-time magistrates the Allen circuit court judge may appoint from one to two, effective July 1, 2010.

• Removes the judge's authority to appoint a hearing officer with the powers of a magistrate.

• Eliminates provisions regarding hearing officer salary payment by the county and hearing officer employment status as a county employee.

• Amends IC 33-33-2-3 and IC 33-33-2-4 regarding court personnel in Allen circuit court.
