SB 235 Summary

• Division of Family Resources must assign a full-time state employee caseworker to each township office in Indiana, effective July 1, 2010.

• Caseworkers shall assist township residents with applications for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid public assistance programs.

• Division must provide each caseworker with a telephone, computer, and access to a copier or facsimile machine for eligibility determination documents.

• Township trustees are required to provide necessary office space for the assigned caseworker at the township office.
