• Counties may adopt ordinances authorizing golf cart use on county highways, with violations treated as ordinance violations rather than Class C infractions.

• Golf cart operators in counties must hold a valid driver's license.

• Fines assessed for golf cart ordinance violations must be deposited into the general fund of the county.

• Counties may allow golf carts to cross state highways at right angles to travel between county-jurisdiction highways, provided the operator stops completely and yields to all traffic.

• Effective July 1, 2010.
