• Amends Indiana Code 11-13-3-2 to modify parole eligibility for offenders sentenced under laws predating the 1976 criminal code.

• Establishes that a person sentenced to multiple terms of life imprisonment for multiple felonies is generally ineligible for parole consideration.

• Creates an exception allowing parole eligibility if at least one of the multiple felony convictions is for kidnapping.

• Effective July 1, 2010.
