Establishes payment priority for health care providers treating injured persons, requiring they receive payment for reasonable charges before any other party (including the injured person) receives insurance proceeds, settlements, or judgment payments related to the injury

Gives attorneys representing health care providers, injured persons, or their representatives first priority for payment of reasonable fees, ahead of health care provider payments

Requires bodily injury insurance policies to specify these payment priority terms as a policy condition

Applies to insurance policies issued, delivered, amended, or renewed after June 30, 2010, and to injuries occurring after that date

Effective date of July 1, 2010, with the applicability section expiring July 1, 2015
