Recognizes direct support professionals as primary providers of publicly funded long-term support services for thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities in Indiana

Acknowledges a documented critical shortage of direct support professionals in most Indiana communities, with high turnover due to inadequate wages and benefits

Supports efforts to obtain funding for professional development initiatives led by the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services

Directs copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration
