Swift was first elected Mayor of Attica in 1999 and was serving his third term at the time of his death

Recognizes Swift's contributions including prudent budget stewardship and facilitation of developmental projects for the community

Offers official condolences from the Indiana General Assembly to his wife Monica Lynn Swift and sons Chad Alan Swift and Brent Tyler Swift

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to Mrs. Swift and the city of Attica
