Recognizes Simon's business success as the top mall developer in the United States and his role in downtown Indianapolis's resurgence, including development of Circle Centre Mall and ownership of the Indiana Pacers.

Documents Simon's philanthropic legacy, including over $70 million donated to Indiana University, $50 million to the IU Cancer Center (now named Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center), $40 million to Riley Hospital for Children, and $10 million to the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Notes Simon's recognition with awards including the Horatio Alger Award, Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame, Real Estate Legends Hall of Fame, and honorary doctorates from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and Butler University.
