Establishes an 11-member Versailles Lake task force to study the lake's use for public water supply, options to increase water volume (including converting it to a reservoir), recreational opportunities, fish and wildlife habitat enhancement, and potential funding sources for changes

Task force membership includes state legislators representing Ripley County, Department of Natural Resources officials, local government representatives from Ripley County and Versailles, tourism bureau, soil and water conservation district, water utility, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

House member serves as chairperson through December 31, 2011, with Senate member taking over beginning January 1, 2012; official actions require approval by at least 6 of the 11 members

Task force must conduct public meetings, develop recommendations, and submit a final report to the water resources study committee before September 1, 2012

Department of Natural Resources provides staffing; chapter expires December 31, 2012
