IN HB1069

Eliminates the option for voters to cast a straight-ticket vote for all candidates of a single political party or independent ticket in general and municipal elections, effective July 1, 2011

Retains straight-ticket voting only for presidential electors (President and Vice President candidates)

Removes ballot instructions, circles, ovals, squares, and touch-sensitive buttons previously used to indicate straight-party voting from paper ballots, optical scan ballots, and electronic voting systems

Repeals multiple Indiana Code sections governing straight-ticket voting procedures and vote counting rules related to straight-ticket ballots

Amends vote counting procedures to eliminate rules for handling ballots where voters cast both straight-ticket votes and individual candidate votes
