House Bill 1135 Summary

• Prohibits taking foxes or coyotes using dogs within areas enclosed by artificial barriers that prevent natural entry or exit of these animals, effective July 1, 2011

• Exempts federal properties and government-owned properties designated as wildlife areas or designed for hunting and trapping from the prohibition

• Preserves the Department's authority to regulate hunting, trapping, and wildlife management for foxes and coyotes

• Amends IC 14-22-6-12 to make coyote hunting provisions subject to the new restrictions in IC 14-22-6-12.5
