House Bill 1175 Summary

• Requires liquor dealer permit holders (except package liquor stores) to display liquor for sale in a separate room or partitioned area from other retail items on the premises.

• Permits other alcoholic beverages to be displayed in the same room or partitioned area as liquor.

• Prohibits minors from entering the liquor display room or partitioned area unless accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years of age.

• The Alcohol and Tobacco Commission must adopt rules to implement this section.

• Effective date: July 1, 2011.
