IN HB1265

Establishes the River Ridge Commerce Corridor in Indiana along State Road 62 between Interstate Highway 265 and State Road 3, including the parallel rail line

Authorizes the Indiana Department of Transportation to place corridor designation signs and provide local officials with annual traffic studies and economic development information

Assigns the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to coordinate state and local economic development initiatives within the corridor

Directs the Office of Community and Rural Affairs to assist local governments in developing zoning and planning standards that balance public safety, economic development, environmental concerns, rail transportation, and interstate travel needs

Preserves local government authority over planning and zoning actions within the corridor under existing Indiana law
