• Prohibits public and private employers in Indiana from requiring job applicants or employees to disclose whether they own, possess, use, or transport firearms or ammunition, except when such items are used in job duties.

• Prevents employers from conditioning employment or employment benefits on an agreement that employees forego lawful ownership, possession, storage, transportation, or use of firearms or ammunition.

• Allows individuals to bring civil actions against employers or public officials for violations, with courts authorized to award actual damages, court costs, attorney's fees, and exemplary or punitive damages for knowing and willful violations.

• Exempts employers from immunity under IC 34-13-3 when sued for civil damages related to violations of this chapter.

• Permits employers to regulate or prohibit firearm possession during work duties or on employer property, except for firearms stored or transported according to IC 34-28-7.
