Honors Indiana State Troopers Brock McCooe and Patrick Stinson for saving the life of Vincent Nicholson from a burning car on November 28, 2010

Trooper Stinson was flagged down by a passerby on State Street in New Albany at approximately 1:26 a.m. and used his fire extinguisher to break the car window and combat multiple fires that repeatedly erupted from the vehicle

Both troopers repeatedly extinguished flames and attempted to free the trapped driver until the New Albany Fire Department arrived and successfully removed Mr. Nicholson from the vehicle

Recognizes Trooper Stinson as 2010 Trooper of the Year for the Sellersburg district and Trooper McCooe as recipient of the 2008 Indiana State Police Life Award for top DUI enforcement

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit a copy of the resolution to the families of both troopers
