Calls on Congress to convene a constitutional convention to propose an amendment repealing the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Would eliminate direct popular election of U.S. Senators and restore the original method of having state legislatures choose Senators

Senators would serve six-year terms with one vote each, as currently structured

State governors could make temporary appointments to fill Senate vacancies during legislative recesses until the legislature meets to fill the seat

Requires certified copies be sent to congressional leadership, all state legislatures' presiding officers, and Indiana's congressional delegation
