Senate Bill 121 Summary

• Allows the judge of the Allen circuit court to appoint two full-time magistrates instead of one under IC 33-23-5.

• Removes the judge's authority to appoint a hearing officer with magistrate powers whose salary is paid by the county.

• Maintains the Allen circuit court's concurrent jurisdiction with the Allen superior court concerning paternity actions.

• Effective July 1, 2011.
