Expands grandparent visitation rights to include great-grandparents under Indiana Code IC 31-17-5.

Allows grandparents or great-grandparents to seek visitation if they had meaningful contact with the child but the parent terminated visits due to an estrangement between the parent and grandparent/great-grandparent.

Establishes court factors for determining best interests of the child in grandparent/great-grandparent visitation cases, including the child's age, wishes, relationship with relatives, mental and physical health of all involved, and evidence of domestic violence.

Authorizes courts to order a party in grandparent/great-grandparent visitation actions to pay reasonable costs to the other party, including attorney's fees and mediation services, except for authorized agencies under federal Social Security Act Title IV-D.

Becomes effective upon passage.
