Circuit court clerks must designate a single location in their office where voters can cast absentee ballots before an absentee voter board.

In counties with populations between 400,000 and 700,000, the board of elections director designates a single location (either clerk's office or board's office) for absentee voting.

All other clerk or board office locations must be established as satellite offices to be used for absentee voting.

Voters can cast absentee ballots between 29 days before election day and noon on the day before election day, with different rules for uniformed services voters.

The designated absentee voting location must be open at least 7 hours on each of the two Saturdays before election day (minimum 4 hours in counties with populations under 20,000).
