• School corporations are prohibited from promoting a referendum position during the period from adoption of the referendum resolution through election day, including restrictions on using facilities, spending money, or using employees during work hours for promotion.

• School corporations may not use students to distribute materials or involve them in organized referendum promotion, and staff cannot identify students by their parents' referendum positions.

• Contractors or organizations with facility use agreements with school corporations are prohibited from spending money to promote a referendum position, with violations constituting a Class A infraction.

• School board members and superintendents may personally advocate for or against a referendum position at any time, and may discuss the referendum with individuals or groups, provided they do not use public funds.

• Student newspapers and broadcasts may use school equipment to report on or editorialize about the referendum as part of news coverage.
