Adds IC 16-41-18.5 (Lupus Education) effective July 1, 2011, authorizing the state department of health to work with national lupus organizations to educate the public about lupus symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment options, and populations at elevated risk including women and communities of color.

Authorizes the state department to promote lupus organization initiatives to educate physicians, health care providers, and human services providers on lupus diagnosis, treatment, medication risks and benefits, research advances, and therapeutic decision-making.

Adds IC 16-41-18.6 (Parkinson's Disease Education) effective July 1, 2011, with parallel provisions allowing the state department to work with national Parkinson's disease organizations to educate the public about disease symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, and treatment options.

Permits the state department to distribute medically sound health information through its website to local health departments, schools, the division of aging, employer wellness programs, health care providers, and hospitals for both lupus and Parkinson's disease.

Allows the state department to accept grants, services, and property from federal, public, and private entities and seek federal waivers to maximize funding for public education programs on both diseases.
