SB 560 Summary

• Amends the state sex and violent offender administration fund to include use for GPS monitoring of sexually violent predators and sex and violent offenders under IC 11-13-3-4.

• Directs $1 from each pretrial diversion initial user fee ($50 fee) to the state sex and violent offender administration fund and $1 to the public defense fund, with remaining $48 going to county/local authorities.

• Directs $1 from each deferral program initial user fee (up to $52) to the state sex and violent offender administration fund and $1 to the public defense fund, with remaining funds going to county/local authorities.

• From deferred prosecution fees collected by circuit courts, allocates 1.2% each to the public defense fund and state sex and violent offender administration fund; from city/town courts allocates 1.5% each to those same funds.

• Effective July 1, 2011.
