Concurrent resolution congratulating Brenda Roberts, a native of Lowell, Indiana, on her Carnegie Hall debut scheduled for February 25, 2011.

Ms. Roberts will perform a recital titled "Dramatic Songs from the German High-Romantic" featuring works by Mahler, Wagner, Strauss, and Schreker.

Recognition of Ms. Roberts' distinguished career as a dramatic soprano, including performances at La Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan Opera.

Ms. Roberts earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University and was the youngest to perform Brunnhilde at the Bayreuth Festival in Germany.

Secretary of the Senate directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Brenda Roberts.
